And Life, and Tears and Love
In the wake of an important donation from collector François Lemai, we present films on 35 mm prints belonging to the history of Soviet cinema.
A mirror film of the previous and remarkable The Orphans, this work is in a way one of the (many) swan songs of Soviet cinema. Once again in the mode of a chronicle and tinged with humor, the film takes place in a seniors residence, unfolding the picture of those left behind, of the elders whose feats of arms have been forgotten or erased.
