The Fondation de la Cinémathèque québécoise was created in 2004 to support the development of the Cinémathèque by helping to fund its structuring activities.
The Foundation solicits donations to support the Cinémathèque’s mission of collecting, preserving, documenting and interpreting Quebec, Canadian and international audiovisual heritage for cultural and educational purposes.
Donated funds are used to :
• Support the cultural enrichment of the public by providing permanent access to film, television and new media heritage and to exhibitions
• Enrich and preserve the collections (films, videos, television programs, publications, artefacts relating to cinema, etc.)
• Transmit knowledge about cinema, television and new media to the younger generations through educational programs
Donors who make a financial contribution to the Foundation are not only helping to develop a unique Canadian cultural institution with internationally recognized expertise but are also investing in the preservation of our collective memory.
The Foundation appreciates your generosity and can issue a receipt for income tax purposes.
